Bijou Commerce are delighted to announce the launch of a unique multi-brand consumer app – named “Bijou”, which will be launched in the US this summer using its single-basket technology.

For the first time, US fashion shoppers will be able to browse clothes from over 50 household names in high-street fashion – including Bloomingdale’s, Kohl’s and Guess, as well as great UK brands like Dorothy Perkins and Forever 21. They will be able to explore the full range of products within an elegant swipe-based UI, and will be able to pay in a single, simple shopping basket.

Unlike most fashion aggregators, there will be no “clicking off” to retailers’ websites – which is hugely detrimental to conversion. In Bijou’s testing, keeping users within the app to complete transactions yielded a 6x uplift on click off conversion rates.

Orders will be split and placed programmatically with each retailer – ensuring that retailers capture the transactions in their existing workflows and retain customer ownership –fulfilling the orders as normal. Bijou will take a cut of each sale.

Bijou have exciting and disruptive distribution plans for the platform – details of which will be announced within the next few weeks.
